La Voz Newspaper Linked to Racist Group
5-7-08

There seems to be a link between the local La Voz Online Newspaper and the National Council of La Raza. La Raza touts itself as a "Private, non-profit, and non-partisan organization focused on reducing poverty and discrimination, and improving opportunities, for Hispanic Americans." I'm wondering about African Americans, Caucasian Americans, Asian Americans, and Native Indian Americans, etc.? Does La Raza only care about Hispanics? Clearly, La Raza - meaning "The Race", is living up to its name by purporting to only help "Hispanic Americans." This seems to be a completely racially motivated group. They don't even try to hide the racism in their stated purpose. It's appalling to discover La Voz linked to this one race promoting group.

It is our hope at KFIRE that Hispanic Americans will distance themselves from such racism and continue to embrace the American culture that unites people from all races, colors, and ethnic backgrounds into one people under one law.
